Destination Weddings

Contact Me
Many couples choose to hold their wedding in a place that feels meaningful to them. I am honored to officiate ceremonies throughout the United States and around the world.

Whether your wedding is on a beach, in a city you love, or in a place that holds family history, my role remains the same. I help you feel grounded, understood, and supported as you begin your life together.

My Approach

A destination setting can make your ceremony feel even more personal. I take the time to get to know you, learn your story, and understand what matters most to each of you. The ceremony we create together reflects your values, your backgrounds, and the way you see your relationship.

Couples often tell me that the planning process helps them grow closer and feel more prepared for the day itself. My goal is to bring a calm and steady presence throughout the weekend so that you can focus on the meaning of the moment.

Interfaith and Inclusive Ceremonies

I work with couples from Jewish, Christian, and many other backgrounds. If your families hold different traditions or levels of observance, I help you navigate those conversations in a way that feels respectful and authentic. Together, we shape a ceremony that honors where each of you comes from and the life you are building.

I can incorporate Spanish or Italian into the ceremony when helpful for families or guests.

Travel

I travel for weddings across North America, South America, Europe, and other international destinations. We will discuss timing so that I arrive well before the ceremony and can be fully present for the weekend. Clear communication is important, and I make the process straightforward.

Testimonials

"Rabbi David Gruber traveled from Texas to Istanbul to officiate our Jewish-Catholic wedding. From our first meeting, he was thoughtful, respectful, and willing to help us create a ceremony that honored both traditions. He took the time to understand our backgrounds, wrote a personal service that reflected our family stories, and worked carefully within Catholic requirements. We recommend him wholeheartedly to any couple seeking an interfaith ceremony handled with sensitivity and care."

Helen and Pavlo
Istanbul, Turkey
"We are an Italian Catholic-Jewish couple, and Rabbi Gruber was exactly who we needed. He worked closely with us and with our priest to create a ceremony that honored both traditions and met Italian legal requirements. He listened carefully, guided us through the process, and even learned to officiate our wedding in Italian. His thoroughness gave us real peace of mind. If you are planning an interfaith wedding, you could not ask for a more supportive and thoughtful officiant."

Micol and Federico
Milan, Italy
"Rabbi Gruber officiated our wedding in Costa Rica and was wonderful. He worked closely with us to create a beautiful ceremony and handled unexpected challenges with calm and good humor, including a last-minute flight cancellation and strong winds during the service. Many of our guests had never attended a Jewish wedding, and he explained each tradition in a way that was warm and accessible. His blend of knowledge and openness made the ceremony feel meaningful for everyone. We highly recommend him."

Shar and Eric
Liberia, Costa Rica
"Rabbi David was a wonderful addition to our wedding in Mexico. We reached out with only six weeks' notice after our first rabbi fell through, and he immediately put us at ease. He took the time to get to know us and worked seamlessly with our Spanish-speaking priest. The ceremony felt personal and natural, as if we had known him for years. Guests kept commenting on how well the two officiants worked together and how warm and funny he was. We recommend him without hesitation."

Hillary and Gabo
Tequesquitengo, Mexico
"We were very fortunate to find Rabbi Gruber after months of searching for someone willing to participate in a ceremony at a Catholic church. His only question was whether we loved each other, and from that moment he put great care into getting to know us and understanding our connection to our faiths. He helped create a ceremony that felt personal and respectful of both traditions, and he incorporated Jewish elements into the Catholic service with creativity and ease. We highly recommend him."
